Welcome to the Revolution!
For almost 150 years, Girls Inc. has reached out to girls across the country by providing programs and advocacy that empower girls to reach their full potential and assert their rights.
In 2007, Girls Inc. Westchester opened its doors to fulfill that same mission here in Westchester.
At GIWC, we believe that girls deserve environments in which they are taken seriously for who they are, what they do, and how they think and feel. We also believe that girls deserve relationships with adults who understand their needs and strengths, challenge them to take risks, and expect them to soar. Working together with schools and community organizations throughout the county -- and thanks to your support -- we provide these life-changing experiences and role models to girls across Westchester.

Growing and Planning Together in New Rochelle
Growing and Planning Together is a 4 part series currently underway at Isaac E. Young Middle School in New Rochelle that works with caregivers and their middle school daughters to foster strong communication around health and finance. The sessions address money management and security planning, and provide tools for caregiver-daughter communication on sexuality and planning for the future.
Make a Promise to a Girl...
The girls in our programs know that girls these days face a lot of pressure to be things they're not. Building on the confidence and courage they've gained in our workshops, some of our girls are promising themselves that it won't always be that way. Go to our facebook page and tell us and the girls: What do you promise?
I promise...to try not to use supermodels as role models...to never tell myself that I'm fat or that I don't look good...to be myself at my new school...to always be confident in myself...to always feel great about myself. I will always love who I am...that I will respect myself and other girls...
